Lawson man seriously injured in DeKalb County crash

DEKALB COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- A 70-year-old man from Lawson, Missouri, was seriously injured after he traveled off the side of the road and into a ditch Sunday morning.

The crash happened on U.S. 36 Highway, east of Route J and 10 miles east of Stewartsville, Missouri.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the driver of a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer was eastbound on U.S. 36 when he traveled off the left side of the roadway.

Once the vehicle went off the road, it struck a road sign, crossed the crossover, struck the ditch and rolled multiple times.

The vehicle came to rest on the left side of the roadway on its top.

The driver was wearing his seatbelt and was transported by DeKalb-Clinton EMS to Mosaic Life Care.
