Fairfax, Mo. man facing 20 charges of child sex crimes

(ROCK PORT, Mo.) A Fairfax, Mo. man is facing 20 charges of child sex crimes.

According to Atchison County Sheriff Andrew Riley, James Ball has been charged with 20 child sex crimes including possession of child pornography, child molestation, and sodomy. 

Ball was arrested on June 4th on suspicion of Possession of Child Pornography and Child Molestation and was charged with possession of child pornography (first offense) and first-degree sodomy (aggravated sexual offense). 

On June 18th, Atchison County deputies amended the probable cause statement with the Atchison County County Prosecutor's Office, and that resulted in 17 additional counts of possession of Child Pornography and a count of second-degree child molestation. 

Ball is being held without bond. 

Riley said in the news release on Wednesday that further charges are pending in this investigation.
