Community leaders unite for St. Joseph Reads literacy summit on March 26
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV)-- St. Joseph Reads will host the St. Joseph Read Literacy summit on Thursday, March 26, from 8 a.m to 1 p.m. at the inspireU Children's Discovery Center.
This event is all about connection and collaboration. Families, educators, business leaders, nonprofit partners, civic organizations and community members are invited to come together and tackle one of St. Joseph’s biggest challenges: improving literacy rates.
Throughout the morning, attendees will learn more about local literacy needs and talk about how reading skills impact everything from our economy to overall quality of life.
The goal is simple but powerful—strengthening reading outcomes for both children and adults across the St. Joseph community.
The summit will include a facilitated panel featuring literacy leaders and practitioners, along with roundtable discussions that give everyone a chance to share ideas, ask questions and build partnerships.
Most importantly, the event will focus on real next steps and long-term collaboration—encouraging everyone to invest their time and energy into supporting literacy efforts right here at home.
