Illinois man seriously injured in Livingston County crash

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- A 57-year-old man from Orland Park, Illinois, is seriously injured after a crash in Livingston County Tuesday evening.

The crash occurred around 8 p.m. on U.S. 36 at Route CC, just one mile east of Chillicothe, Missouri.

The man, driving a 2016 Volvo Tractor Trailer westbound on U.S. 36, when he traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a culvert and embankment, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The vehicle came to rest in the median on its wheel facing west.

The man was wearing a seatbelt and was transported by Livingston County EMS to Liberty Hospital.
