St. Joseph Museums launch local history curriculum with $15K grant

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The St. Joseph Museums' new mobile historical tour is sold out.

“The Murder Bus: St. Joseph’s Darkest Secrets on Wheels” will offer a curated look at some of the city’s most notorious crime scenes and scandals. The event will take place on April 18 and 19.

The tour will bring passengers to sites tied to historic homicides and organized crime in the city.

In addition, it will feature visits to several historic mansions and Downtown locations that are tied to unsolved mysteries and local mayhem.

According to museum officials, the immersive experience focuses on the "shadowy legacy" of the region, using expert storytellers to provide historical context at each site.

St. Joseph Museums anticipate holding another 'Murder Bus' tour in July.
