Heartland Road construction to limit access near Mosaic

File

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) --Northbound traffic on Heartland Road will be restricted to emergency vehicle traffic only between Faraon Street and the Mosaic Life Care Medical Center Emergency Room entrance beginning Monday.

The closure is due to street repairs, where the northbound lanes will see a full-depth concrete replacement in damaged sections of the roadway along the west side of the Mosaic campus. Work on the southbound lane took place during the winter.

For northbound traffic from Faraon, only emergency vehicles, including ambulances, police and fire, will be able to use the Heartland Road ER entrance during the project.

All other drivers should use the other hospital entrances to get to the ER or approach on Heartland Road southbound from Frederick Avenue.

Following the completion of this phase, single-lane closures will be implemented as crews continue with the remaining repairs.

Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and use caution when traveling near the construction zone. The project will proceed in phases, and updates will be provided as work progresses.
