Tarkio man seriously injured after motorcycle overturns, travels off roadway

NODAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- A Tarkio, Missouri, man is seriously injured following a motorcycle crash Monday evening.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:50 p.m. on U.S. Highway 136, just three miles west of Burlington Junction, Missouri.

The 48-year-old male driver of a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle was westbound on U.S. 136 when his motorcycle overturned, ejecting him.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the motorcycle then traveled off the south side of the roadway and came to rest on its side facing east.

The driver, who came to rest in the roadway, was transported by the Nodaway County EMS to Mosaic Life Care in Maryville, Missouri.

According to the crash report, the man was not wearing a safety device.
