Oregon man pleads guilty in death of another caused by a DWI

ANDREW COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- Mickey Messick of Oregon, Missouri, pleaded guilty to the death of another caused by driving while intoxicated.

In March of 2026, Messick faced DWI charges for the death of another person and 1st Degree Manslaughter charges following an Andrew County crash that killed a Savannah, Missouri, woman.

The crash, which occurred on County Road 396, approximately four miles north of Route K in Andrew County, was a single-vehicle accident involving a 2017 Polaris RZR.

The ATV was overturned after the 51-year-old male driver allegedly traveled off the west side of the roadway, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Report.

A 41-year-old Savannah woman was a passenger in the ATV.

According to court documents, Messick appeared in court on Aug. 25 and entered a guilty plea to felony driving while intoxicated causing the death of another.

Messick’s sentencing is set for 2 p.m. on Oct. 29 at the Andrew County Courthouse
