ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV)-- United Way of Greater St. Joseph is now accepting applications for the Leadership St. Joseph Class of 2027 — the program’s 45th class and another step in a long tradition of developing informed, connected and engaged community leaders.

A United Way of Greater St. Joseph initiative, Leadership St. Joseph is designed to help participants build the skills and knowledge they need to become effective leaders in the community.

Over the years, the program has graduated more than 1,000 participants, many of whom have gone on to take on leadership roles in their workplaces and throughout the community.

Through a year of learning experiences, participants gain understanding of the opportunities, challenges and critical issues facing the St. Joseph area.

Along the way, participants strengthen their leadership skills and build meaningful connections and become part of a powerful network of leaders committed to making a difference in the community.

The 2027 program begins with a two-day retreat on Jan. 14-15. Following the retreat, the class will meet during business hours on the second Thursday of each month.

Applicants should live and/or work in the St. Joseph area. Class size is limited and applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13, 2026.
