ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- A few Northwest Missouri businesses are partnering to encourage people to adopt local animals and test-drive cars.

Reed Chevrolet and M'Shoogy's, a business that provides animal rescue and veterinary care in Savannah, Missouri, will host its inaugural "Tails and Test Drives" event.

The event gives community members a chance to meet their new best friend and potentially take home a new car.

Interested participants can partake in the meet-and-greets and test drives from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Reed Chevrolet, located at 4200 Commonwealth Court.
