ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- A local teen is charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with a fatal crash in September 2025.

Court documents said that the crash happened Sept. 11, 2025, near Messanie Street and East Meadow Lane after a vehicle was traveling at 95 mph in a 30 mph zone, leaving one person dead.

According to a probable cause statement filed in July 2026, Kendall Garrison was driving 95 mph in a 30 mph zone over a blind hillcrest and hit another vehicle.

Garrison appeared Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, before Judge Rebecca L. Spencer.

Her attorney, James Nadolski, asked for another court date. The next hearing is set for Nov. 19. On that date, Garrison will either have a preliminary hearing or waive it.

Garrison is charged with involuntary manslaughter and three counts of second-degree assault.

The crash left three people injured, including the driver, whose injuries were life-threatening.
