Law enforcement agencies locate missing teen and violent fugitive after executing multiple search warrants

MARYVILLE, Mo. (KQTV) -- Northwest Missouri and federal law enforcement agencies located a missing and endangered teen after executing multiple search warrants at a residence in Maryville, Missouri.

The search warrants were executed by the Nodaway County Sheriff's Office, Maryville Police Department, United States Marshals Service and the United States Marshals Task Force Officers with the Buchanan County Career Criminal Unit.

As a result of an investigation by the Nodaway County Sheriff's Office, a missing and endangered 16-year-old was safely located and taken into protective custody.

According to the Nodaway County Sheriff's Office, "a violent, wanted fugitive" was also taken into custody along with multiple controlled substances and multiple firearms during the same operation.

One of the firearms seized was identified as having no serial numbers or markings, commonly referred to as a "Ghost Gun". The gun was located in a bag with multiple loaded magazines and rubber gloves.

Macio A. Harris was taken into custody and charged with Distribution of a Controlled Substance in a Protected Location, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Endangering the Welfare of a Child Creating Substantial Risk and the Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

Austin J. Kent was taken into custody and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child Creating Substantial Risk and the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

Kyndra A.M. Trail was arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child Creating Substantial Risk and Hindering Prosecution of a Felony.

Mylee L. Pfleiderer was arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child Creating Substantial Risk and Hindering the Prosecution of a Felony.

"This investigation and subsequent operation resulted not only in the recovery of a missing and endangered juvenile, but also in the arrest of convicted felons with firearms and controlled substances," Nodaway County Sheriff Austin Hann said. "Cases like this demonstrate the direct connection between illegal drug activity and the dangers posed to our communities and our children."
