U.S. Marshals Service, Elwood Police arrest 2 with outstanding warrants

ELWOOD, Kan. (KQTV) -- Two individuals are in custody following a warrant operation at the Capri Motel in Elwood, Kansas, on Monday.

Tyan Elder, 44, and Shannon Power, 58, were taken into custody on outstanding warrants.

According to court documents in Case.net, one of Elder's warrants was for a "failure to appear" in court for a shoplifting charge.

Court documents also show Power failed to appear in court on charges including operating a vehicle without financial responsibility and larceny/theft, among others.

"We appreciate the continued cooperation and partnership with the United States Marshals Service," the Elwood Police Department wrote in a Facebook post.

Power is currently being held in the Buchanan County Jail, while Elder is being held in the Doniphan County Jail.
