Spire to conduct pipeline replacement on Frederick Avenue

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Spire crews will close portions of Frederick Avenue to conduct a pipeline replacement.

The work will begin on Sept. 8 and will take place along Frederick Avenue between 22nd Street and Fairleigh Terrace.

Crews will install new, upgraded natural gas mains to continue to safely deliver energy to area homes and businesses.

The staged road closures and detours along Frederick Avenue will last approximately four weeks, according to Spire.

Impacted intersections include Frederick Avenue at Fairleigh Terrace, N. 26th Street, N. 25th Street, N. 24th Street and N. 22nd Street.

Spire said traffic control measures, including detour signage, will be in place to minimize traffic disruptions and delays.

Motorists are encouraged to drive with caution near the work area and along detour routes.
