ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) - The Kansas City Chiefs held the team's third official Training Camp practice Friday morning in St. Joseph. One of KC's familiar faces returning this season is third-year wide receiver Xavier Worthy.

Worthy is coming off a sophomore year in where he injured his shoulder so early in the season for the Chiefs. The speedy wide-out had offseason surgery on that shoulder.

Entering year 3, Worthy says he wants to be more of a leader this season for the Chiefs and says he's now fully healthy and ready for a bounce back season with the team.

"Last year I was never one hundred percent. I was never going to be one hundred percent until I got the surgery. So I got the surgery and I've been been working on it, building muscle mass. Obviously working at it in the offseason, getting stronger and obviously building that shoulder back," said Worthy. "Coming into camp, obviously I knew I was going to get into more contact, building the shoulder up and I feel fine. I feel good."

Kansas City will have another Training Camp practice on Saturday morning on August 1st. The team will have Sunday the 2nd off and then the pads come on for the first time all camp on Monday the 3rd.
