Atchison boys hoops advance to Sub-State Finals after defeating Wamego

ATCHISON, Ks. (KQTV) -- The Atchison Phoenix are moving on as they defeat the Wamego Red Raiders in the Sub-State Semifinals, 74-43.

It was a tight game in the first half with Atchison only leading by three points going into halftime. They came out in the third quarter red hot and cruised to a win.

The Phoenix stay undefeated and improve to 24-0 on the season. Wamego's year comes to an end and they finish with a 7-15 record.

Atchison will be back at home for the Sub-State Finals on Saturday as they face Hayden with tip-off set for 5 p.m.
