Tracking a windy and cooler Wednesday

Temperatures are noticeably cooler than yesterday as colder air continues to move into the region.

Temperatures will continue falling through the morning as rain moves through the area and colder air filters in from the north. Breezy conditions will also persist today, with wind gusts between 25 and 35 mph.

A weak boundary across central Nebraska is producing additional moisture that will move southeast through the late morning hours, bringing scattered showers to parts of northwest Missouri.

After the rain tapers off later this morning, skies will gradually clear. Expect partly cloudy conditions through the afternoon with relatively clear skies by this evening and overnight.

High temperatures today will be about 35 degrees cooler than what we experienced Tuesday.

Temperatures rebound into the low 60s Thursday and Friday, then climb into the 70s by Saturday. Another cold front arrives late in the weekend, bringing additional rain chances and cooler temperatures Sunday into early next week.
