Tracking a windy Thursday

As we head into your Thursday we will see a mild and breezy spring like day across northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas. We will have partly sunny skies which will help us see our temperatures climb into the upper 50's and lower 60's by the afternoon.

The main weather story will be the strong southwest winds with us seeing some gusts up to 35 to 45 mph possible especially during the afternoon.

Because of the strong winds and low humidity a Red Flag warning is in effect from noon through the evening. Winds will gradually ease down after sunset with overnight lows falling back into the upper 30's.
