KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KQTV) -- The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to make a trade with the Los Angeles Rams, sending All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie to LA for four draft picks.

One pick being the 29th pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft, according to ESPN.

The Chiefs will also receive the fifth and sixth round picks in the 2026 draft and a 2027 third-round selection from the Rams.

According to ESPN, the deal will mean a long-term contract extension for McDuffie as a Ram.

The Rams have two first-round picks in this year's draft, as a result of a trade they made with the Atlanta Falcons last year. They still own the 13th pick in the 2026 draft.

This is the second time in three years the Chiefs have traded a top cornerback instead of handing out a big-money extension.

In 2024, the Chiefs traded L'Jarius Sneed to the Tennessee Titans. Cornerback Jaylen Watson is set to become a free agent next week.
