Spring Clean Sweep returns to St. Joseph April 1–7

File | KQ2

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- St. Joseph is kicking off its annual Spring Clean Sweep from April 1 through 7 during normal hours.

It’s an opportunity for residents to tidy up their properties and get rid of unwanted items; however, the City said the event is not meant to be a replacement for regular trash or solid waste services.

The April Clean Sweep event was canceled last year because the City aimed to reduce trash going into the Landfill as construction continued on Cell 8.

This April, residents can drop off yard waste, trash and even appliances—free of charge—for two full days each year during the Landfill's hours.

The Landfill, located at 9431 SE 50th Road, is open from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first Saturday of the month.
