Bill Falkner is running uncontested to be Buchanan County’s next Presiding Commissioner, taking over for Scott Nelson, who has served in the role since Jan. 2023. Falkner is completing his final term serving as a Republican in Missouri’s House of Representatives for District 10. He’s held the position since 2018 and was re-elected in 2020,

Incumbent Mary Baack-Garvey is seeking re-election for Buchanan County Clerk, a position she’s held since Jan. 2011. Before being elected as County Clerk, she served about 10 years as a county employee assisting with elections. Baack-Garvey is running uncontested.

Ashley Thrasher is seeking re-election as Buchanan County’s Circuit Clerk, a position she’s held since 2019. Thrasher has a degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Missouri Western State University. Since obtaining her degree, she has worked in various business positions at Hallmark Cards, Boehringer Ingelheim and Mosaic Life Care.
